S.K.V. + CazU-23 - “転 – Marobashi” LP
(PRE-ORDER)
Sakevi Yokoyama of G.I.S.M. builds on his legacy of experimental, noise, and avant garde music previously explored on such releases as the S.K.V. + Jojo “Mammilia” LP (1987), G.I.S.M.’s “SoniCrime TheRapy” (1998), and his solo album “The War” (2003). This time his voice joins CazU-23, a visionary guitarist who cut his teeth playing in Japanese HC bands like Blaze, Slowmotions, Sticks in Throat, and eventually in the final lineup of G.I.S.M. He currently plays in the revolutionary punk band Turtle Island in addition to his solo work. When G.I.S.M. geared up to play abroad in 2016, this solo work was used by Sakevi to train his vocals, and from that, this collaboration was born. “転 – Marobashi” presents an improvisational masterpiece, an organic swell of emotions both light and dark, and takes you on a journey showing the true power and artistic creativity of both of these creators. Extensive liner notes and history by Jojo Hiroshige (Hijokaidan / Alchemy Records), Naohiro Ukawa (Dommune / S.K.V. & G.I.S.M. VJ), and CazU-23 in English and Japanese. The album will be officially released on August 24th, in honor of Sakevi on the anniversary of his passing.
